But Why Is It So Difficult To Stop Smoking?

The top reason it is so tough to kick the habit is nicotine. Nicotine is highly addictive as well as being a poison (isn't that just lovely). And nicotine doesn't just hook you physically it is also mentally addictive. So when you quit you have to battle both your body and your mind.

Smoking also has a ritualistic aspect to it. Opening the pack a certain way, how you light up, the times you have a cigarette (like when you take a coffee for instance). This can be a strong urge to keep you smoking as well.

There are many different tools you can use to help you stop smoking. There are medical helps such as the patch, gums and pills. - Tobacco usage is the cause in 1 in 5 deaths

- Four Hundred Thousand Americans die yearly due to tobacco usage on average

- Tobacco and nicotine are among the worst carcinogens and are the biggest causes of cancers of the resperitory system

Other Reasons For Quitting Smoking
